hats, shoes and fringe !

SALES SALES SALES!
one of the many thrills of shopping, and the reason pour le blog!

For those wallets like mine, that only wish to be able to afford places like UrbanOutfitters and Anthropologie at regular prices, we thrive at the sales.

And boy oh boy, did we do good this round.

Red turban: wait for it... $ 4.95!!! Five bucks, I pay more for food.

Wooden sandal: $19.99 Less than half of the original price.
Sweet sweet savings.

And lastly, a quick DIY that my friend Rachel and I did :

Leopard shirt via Goodwill, $ 4.95
A pair of scissors later, and voila,
FRINGE CITY!

DIY

So I have these leopard baby pumps via F21,
but as most shoes via F21, they are so uncomfortable.
You definitely get what you pay for.
But a girls just got to get her leopard shoe on, so no pain, no gain.

Sooo in hopes of finding a remedy for my beloved shoes, trying to extend their wear for more than ten minutes, I seek out electrical tape.

Now, apply to shoe andddd!

You've got a bit of blister protection!
Just applied about an inch to the outer leopard side and then draped it inside until I hit the bottom.
I admit this technique is not for all shoes due to many styles,
but it works brilliantly for my leopard lovers.

Voila! DIY blister solutions. Because you know we won't give up the shoe.

perhaps?

perhaps it was my shoulder padded glitterized swan sweater
perhaps it was my high waisted leather shorts
perhaps it was my leopard pumps three inches too short
perhaps it was my oober bright orange lipstick
or perhaps it was my cat printed purse
which was the reason that I nearly felt invisible to the male species last night

and the reason why I felt super sweet in my attire ;)

of course being accompanied by my lovely gal in an equally exquisite get up only boosted our woman power.

my eyes look like this in real life too.

both sweaters are vintage england finds, thanks to this ladyfriend of mine.
leather shorts- F21
leopard shoes- F21
kitty kat purse- savers

her bottom half: sequin black shorts and liquid leggings- F21
fringe booties- F21 circa three years ago

it's like we both work at F21 or something?? haha
can always count on that place for some real cheap finds.

anticipation !

So next week I’ll really get in the start of my “research”, hitting a few favorite thrift spots and perhaps some new. I’ve already a few outfit concepts and pieces that I’m hoping to find, but one of the ultra cool things about thrifting is that you never really know what to expect. Even though I’ll be traveling with my newly birthed baby, (my little Lily!) I’m not discouraged in the least, if anything more inspired to perhaps stretch the age horizon and seek out awesome little tots clothing. Besides, I feel as though it has been ages since I’ve properly shopped researched due to being pregno and all, so I’m rather eager to get out there and see what’s a waiting.
